Abstract:This paper mainly discusses students’ problems in doing the news listening of TEM-4 in Yuxi Normal University and the methods they apply to deal with the problems. The theory of the learner strategies which is made up of Cognitive strategies, Metacognitive strategies and Social-affective strategies will be included. As was surveyed, third-year English majors in Yuxi Normal University often have more non-psychological problems than psychological problems while listening to the news of TEM-4. The methods they often use to deal with the problems are Cognitive strategies, but seldom apply the Metacognitive strategies and Social-affective strategies. The result of the investigation may be of help to the English majors who will take the exam of TEM-4 to analyze their present problems and provide them with some methods to solve problems.

摘要:本文主要讨论了玉溪师范学院英语专业大三学生在做英语专业四级新闻听力时所遇到的问题,以及他们在遇到这些问题后所采用的方法。本文主要以二语学习者的学习策略为依据,它包括认知策略、元认知策略和社交策略。据调查,在做英语专业四级新闻听力时,玉溪师范学院外语学院英语专业的大三学生都觉得相对于心理因素,非心理的因素更影响他们水平的发挥。并且,他们经常采用的是认知策略,而很少采用元认知策略和社交策略。作者希望本文的调查的结果能对那些即将要参加专业四级考试的学生有一些帮助:了解他们目前在英语专业四级新闻听力中的问题,提供他们一些解决这些问题的方法。
